The first Renault Express was a small van built on the Super 5 platform and front axle. It went on sale in 1985 as a panel van, a glazed van and a station wagon. The passenger version left the range in 1998, the commercial version stayed on sale until 2000, and about 1.73 million had been sold. The name came back in 2021: Renault unveiled the new Express and Express Van at Tangier on 18 May 2021, with the Van aimed mainly at export to Europe and the Express adapted to the Moroccan market.
A light van based on a supermini, built from 1985 to 2000 (Rapid in Germany, Extra in the UK) and derived from the Renault 5/Supercinq. The name returned in 2021 on a compact van.
