STORY

The Renault Fuego coupe was presented at the Geneva show in 1980 and built on the platform of the Renault 18. Argentina made its own: Renault Argentina began series production at the Santa Isabel plant in Cordoba on 1 July 1982 and added the GTA version in 1988. Production there stopped in September 1992, with 19,952 cars built according to the Argentine site Autotest. That count covers the Argentine line only and says nothing about the French and Spanish cars.
