STORY
The Renault Master arrived at the start of the 1980s, alongside the smaller Trafic, and was built at Renault's new SoVAB plant in Batilly, France. The second generation, from 1997, was developed with General Motors and sold as the Opel Movano (Vauxhall Movano in Britain) and as the Nissan Interstar. It won the Van of the Year award in 1998. The third generation arrived in 2010 and replaced both the previous Master and the larger Renault Mascott. It used a 2.3-litre dCi diesel engine in several power ratings. The Master comes as anything from a panel van to a minibus.
