STORY

The Modus was Renault's small monospace, built at the Valladolid plant in Spain. Production started in September 2004, as Just-auto reported in February 2005, with 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engines and 1.5 dCi diesels, one of them rated at 80 hp. A facelift in early 2008 brought a turbocharged 1.2 petrol, and the same year the Grand Modus joined the range with a wheelbase 93 mm longer than the standard car's 2,482 mm, according to Auto Express.
