STORY

Renault presented the 19 in June 1988, with French sales from September 1988 and German sales from January 1989. The four-door Chamade followed in September 1989, according to Renault Germany. Karmann built the cabriolet shown in 1991, and a facelift came in 1992. The 16-valve version made 135 PS in the German press figures. European production ended in 1995 or 1996, and Argentina and Turkey kept building the car until about 2000.
