The R1T Tri-Motor is a five-seat electric pickup sold from 2024. Three motors make 850 PS and 1103 Nm and drive all four wheels through a single-speed transmission. It reaches 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and 180 km/h flat out.

STORY

The R1T was the first vehicle Rivian brought to market. It reached customers in late 2021 and reached customers ahead of the Ford F-150 Lightning and the Tesla Cybertruck. It introduced signature features such as the Gear Tunnel, a front trunk, and quad-motor torque vectoring for real off-road ability. A second-generation R1T followed for 2025, with Rivian-designed drive units and a simplified zonal electrical architecture.
