STORY

The Saturn Aura was a midsize sedan sold for the 2007 through 2009 model years. On January 7, 2007 a jury of 49 North American journalists named it North American Car of the Year at the Detroit show, with 205 points against 176 for the Honda Fit and 89 for the Toyota Camry. The XR carried a 3.6-liter V6 rated at 252 hp, while the XE started with a 3.5-liter V6. In spring 2007 the Green Line added a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 164 hp and an EPA rating of 28 mpg city and 35 highway. The Aura ended with the 2009 model year, before the Saturn division closed in 2010.
