STORY

The Saturn Sky was a two-seat roadster on GM's Kappa architecture, mechanically identical to the Pontiac Solstice. The Red Line, shown at the New York show in April 2006 and sold as a 2007 model, added a turbocharged, direct-injection 2.0-liter rated at 260 hp and 260 lb-ft above the base 2.4-liter four. In one test a manual Red Line was timed at 6.1 seconds to 60 mph, and the base price was $29,025. The engine was billed as GM's first direct-injection engine in North America. Production at Wilmington, Delaware ended in 2009 with the plant's closure, and a few cars carried the 2010 model year.
