The Seat 124 was a Spanish-built version of the Fiat 124 produced under licence in Barcelona from 1968, one of the family saloons that put post-war Spain on wheels. It was assembled with progressively more local content and spawned larger-engined 1430 and 1600 derivatives as the range matured. Sporting 124/1800 versions with twin-cam power gave Seat a competitive base for rallying before production ended in 1980.
