The Seat 127 was the Spanish edition of the Fiat 127 supermini, built in Barcelona from 1972 and one of the country's best-selling cars of the decade. Its transverse front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout made it modern, roomy and cheap to run for families trading up from the rear-engined 600 and 850. Later three- and five-door hatchback versions broadened its appeal before it evolved into the Seat Fura in the early 1980s.
A supermini based on the Fiat 127, one of the first front-wheel-drive hatchbacks in SEAT's range and a big seller in Spain.
