STORY

Simca took over the French Ford business in 1954 and from the summer of that year sold the Vedette, a car that Ford SAF had introduced in 1948. Under Simca it used a 2.35-litre V8 making 80 PS. A major revision in 1957 added tail fins and started the second series, whose engine made 84 PS. The Vedette stayed in production until 1961.
