STORY

Kushaq is Skoda's first SUV developed for India, built on the localised MQB-A0-IN platform. The production car was shown on 18 March 2021, and the first unit left the line at the Chakan plant near Pune in early June 2021; the Kylaq of 2024 shares its platform. It is about 4.2 m long on a 2,651 mm wheelbase and was offered with two petrol engines: a 1.0 TSI rated at 85 kW (115 PS) and a 1.5 TSI at 110 kW (150 PS), with manual, automatic and DSG gearboxes depending on the engine. It is not sold in Europe, but is also exported to the Middle East and, as CKD kits, to Vietnam.
