STORY

The Octavia RS arrived with the 2000 update of the first-generation car, though Skoda's own history of the 1996 to 2010 car dates the RS to 2001. It had a 1.8 turbo petrol of 132 kW (180 hp) and a top speed of up to 235 km/h. The second generation followed in 2006 with 147 kW (200 hp) from the 2.0 TFSI, a diesel RS with 125 kW (170 hp), and the first DSG option. The third generation began at 162 kW and reached 180 kW, and the fourth generation added an RS iV plug-in hybrid with 180 kW.
