Baja Turbo

The Baja Turbo is the US version of the Outback-based sport pickup with the turbocharged 2.5-litre EJ255 engine, introduced for the 2004 model year. It makes 210 hp (SAE), well above the 165 hp of the standard Baja, and pairs it with all-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. It was built until 2006.

STORY

The Subaru Baja was a four-door sport-utility pickup produced from 2003 to 2006, based on the Legacy Outback platform. It combined a car-like cabin with a small open bed and a 'Switchback' pass-through to the trunk, powered by a 2.5-liter boxer, optionally turbocharged. Sales were modest and it was discontinued after a short run, becoming a collectible.
