The BRZ 2.0 Automatic (facelift) is the Japanese six-speed automatic version of the updated coupe, built from 2016 to 2020. It has the C-clamp LED headlamps and revised bumper of the August 2016 update, but keeps the earlier 200 PS from its 2.0-litre flat-four, while the manual cars gained power. STORY

The Subaru BRZ is a rear-wheel-drive sports coupe co-developed with Toyota (sold as the 86/GT86), launched in 2012 with a naturally aspirated boxer engine mounted low for a balanced chassis. The first generation used a 2.0-liter FA20, while the second generation from 2021 upgraded to a 2.4-liter FA24 for stronger mid-range torque. It is valued for its light weight and handling aimed at the driver rather than outright power.
