The XV 1.6i is the entry-level petrol version of the second-generation Crosstrek (XV in Europe) after the 2021 facelift, offered on the European market in 2021 and 2022. Its 1.6-litre FB16 four-cylinder makes 114 PS and drives all four wheels through a Lineartronic CVT. It sat below the 2.0-litre e-Boxer hybrid as the smallest engine of the range.

STORY

The Subaru Crosstrek (originally XV Crosstrek) is a subcompact crossover derived from the Impreza hatchback, first introduced in 2012 with raised ground clearance and standard all-wheel drive. It has become one of Subaru's best-sellers, later gaining a plug-in hybrid variant. The model moved to the Subaru Global Platform with its second generation and was fully redesigned again in 2023.
