The Crosstrek 2.0 e-BOXER FWD is the front-wheel-drive version of the Japanese third-generation (GU) Crosstrek, sold alongside the all-wheel-drive car from 2022 to 2026. It has the same 2.0-litre FB20 hybrid powertrain with 145 PS and a CVT, but sends power only to the front axle. It is the lighter, simpler choice in the Japanese line-up.

STORY

The Subaru Crosstrek (originally XV Crosstrek) is a subcompact crossover derived from the Impreza hatchback, first introduced in 2012 with raised ground clearance and standard all-wheel drive. It has become one of Subaru's best-sellers, later gaining a plug-in hybrid variant. The model moved to the Subaru Global Platform with its second generation and was fully redesigned again in 2023.
