Forester 2.0XT (SG)

The Forester 2.0XT is the Japanese turbo version of the second-generation SG, with the EJ205 turbocharged 2.0-litre making 220 PS. That is less than the 250 PS the first-generation S/tb offered at its launch. It has all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox and was built in Japan from 2002 to 2005 in the launch phase.

STORY

The Subaru Forester debuted in 1997 as a compact crossover SUV built on the Impreza platform, blending wagon practicality with raised ground clearance and standard all-wheel drive. It grew steadily larger and more SUV-like across generations while retaining boxer engines, including turbocharged XT models in the earlier years. It remains one of Subaru's core global models, moving to the Subaru Global Platform with the SK generation.
