Forester STI (SG)

The Forester STI continued after the 2005 facelift with the same 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder at 265 PS, all-wheel drive and a six-speed manual gearbox. It was built for the Japanese market from 2005 to 2007 and remained the most powerful version of the facelifted SG, with the new front fascia, grille and headlights.

STORY

The Subaru Forester debuted in 1997 as a compact crossover SUV built on the Impreza platform, blending wagon practicality with raised ground clearance and standard all-wheel drive. It grew steadily larger and more SUV-like across generations while retaining boxer engines, including turbocharged XT models in the earlier years. It remains one of Subaru's core global models, moving to the Subaru Global Platform with the SK generation.
