The Forester 2.5X is the non-turbo petrol version of the updated SH, a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with about 170 horsepower and all-wheel drive, with an automatic gearbox listed. This international-market car was built for 2011 and 2012 and shows the reshaped fog-lamp housings and deeper grille of the October 2010 update, with the same output as the earlier 2.5X.

STORY

The Subaru Forester debuted in 1997 as a compact crossover SUV built on the Impreza platform, blending wagon practicality with raised ground clearance and standard all-wheel drive. It grew steadily larger and more SUV-like across generations while retaining boxer engines, including turbocharged XT models in the earlier years. It remains one of Subaru's core global models, moving to the Subaru Global Platform with the SK generation.
