STORY

The Group A Impreza that made Subaru a major name in rallying. Named for the State Express 555 cigarette sponsorship and finished in the blue and yellow livery that became the brand's signature, it took the manufacturers' title in 1995 and 1996 and made Colin McRae, at 27, the youngest world rally champion to that point. The third consecutive constructors title, in 1997, went to its World Rally Car successor.
