The 2007 Impreza WRC, known as the S12B, brought new dampers and a revised weight distribution to the four-door GD shell, though the car never shook off its handling problems. The turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine made roughly 300 horsepower, with a sequential gearbox and all-wheel drive. It was the last of the GD-bodied rally cars.

STORY

Subaru's World Rally Car, run by Prodrive from 1997 until the works team withdrew at the end of 2008. It carried the marque's third manufacturers' title in its first season and drivers' titles for Richard Burns in 2001 and Petter Solberg in 2003. Across its whole rally career, in Group A and World Rally Car form, the Impreza won 46 world championship rallies.
