The Justy 1.0 G of 2016 to 2020 brought the name back to Japan after 22 years on a rebadged Daihatsu Thor, a tall MPV with sliding doors. It has a three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine of about 69 horsepower, an automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive, the naturally aspirated grade below the Custom RS Turbo.

STORY

The Subaru Justy is a subcompact economy car first launched in 1984, notable for offering a three-cylinder engine and available all-wheel drive with an early ECVT continuously variable transmission. Later Justy models sold in Europe were rebadged from other makers, including a Suzuki-based version in the 2000s. It served as Subaru's entry-level small car in many markets.
