The Legacy 2.2 is the plain sedan of the BC/BJ Legacy for international markets, in the form built after the June 1991 facelift, from 1991 to 1993. Its 2.2-litre four-cylinder produces about 136 horsepower and drives all four wheels through a manual gearbox. It is the everyday counterpart to the turbocharged GT and RS versions of the same car.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering. The nameplate ran for seven generations, with production ending in the mid-2020s in its final markets.
