The Legacy 2.0 GT-B Touring Wagon (BG5B) is the sports estate of the facelifted BD/BG Legacy, sold in Japan from 1996 to 1998. From June 1996 its EJ20R 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder produces 280 PS, a first for a 2.0-litre production wagon, with a manual gearbox and all-wheel drive. Bilstein inverted dampers set it apart from the ordinary GT.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering. The nameplate ran for seven generations, with production ending in the mid-2020s in its final markets.
