The Legacy 2.5 Sedan is the US four-door of the facelifted BE/BH Legacy, sold from the 2001 to the 2004 model years. Its SOHC 2.5-litre four-cylinder is rated at 165 hp (SAE) and drives all four wheels through an automatic gearbox. It covers the L and GT sedan grades, the mainstream four-door of the line in North America.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering. The nameplate ran for seven generations, with production ending in the mid-2020s in its final markets.
