The Legacy 2.5 Touring Wagon is the US estate of the facelifted BE/BH Legacy, offered from the 2001 to the 2004 model years. Its SOHC 2.5-litre four-cylinder is rated at 165 hp (SAE) and works with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive in this version. It was sold as the Brighton, L and GT wagons, the long-running mainstream estate of the line in North America.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering.
