Legacy 2.5GT Wagon

The Legacy 2.5GT Wagon was the turbo wagon offered in the US from 2004 to 2006 on the fourth-generation Legacy (BP). It uses the 2.5-litre EJ255 boxer four rated at about 250 hp (SAE) with all-wheel drive. The manual gearbox was dropped for the US wagon from the 2006 model year, leaving the automatic. It offered the same turbo performance as the 2.5GT sedan with a wagon's cargo space.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering. The nameplate ran for seven generations, with production ending in the mid-2020s in its final markets.
