The Legacy 2.5i is the 2.5-litre sedan of the fourth-generation Legacy (BL) for international markets, built from 2003 to 2006. Its four-cylinder boxer engine makes about 175 horsepower and drives all four wheels through a manual gearbox. It is the practical mid-size sedan of the range, below the six-cylinder 3.0R and the turbocharged GT versions.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering. The nameplate ran for seven generations, with production ending in the mid-2020s in its final markets.
