The Legacy 2.5GT Sedan stayed on sale in the US from 2006 to 2009 as the turbocharged model of the fourth generation (BL). The US sedan received new bumpers, fenders and tail lamps for the 2008 model year. It uses the 2.5-litre EJ255 boxer four with a manual gearbox and all-wheel drive.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering. The nameplate ran for seven generations, with production ending in the mid-2020s in its final markets.
