The Legacy 2.5i sedan is the entry model of the fifth-generation Legacy (BM) in the US, sold from 2009 to 2012. The naturally aspirated 2.5-litre EJ25 boxer four is rated at 170 hp (SAE) and works with a CVT and all-wheel drive. It arrived with a larger generation aimed at a wider audience, and it sits below the turbocharged 2.5GT and the six-cylinder 3.6R.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering.
