The Legacy 3.6R is the six-cylinder sedan of the fifth-generation Legacy (BM) for international markets, sold from 2009 to 2012. Its 3.6-litre flat-six produces about 256 horsepower and works with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. It is the largest-engined Legacy of the generation, above the 2.5-litre four-cylinder cars.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering. The nameplate ran for seven generations, with production ending in the mid-2020s in its final markets.
