Legacy B4 2.5GT

The Legacy B4 2.5GT is the turbocharged sedan of the fifth-generation Legacy (BM) in Japan, sold from 2009 to 2012. Its 2.5-litre EJ255 produces 285 PS and 350 Nm, passed to all four wheels by an automatic gearbox. It was replaced in 2012 by the 2.0GT DIT, a smaller direct-injection turbo engine.

STORY

The Subaru Legacy is a mid-size car launched in 1989 as Subaru's flagship, offered in sedan and wagon forms with boxer engines and signature symmetrical all-wheel drive. It spawned the rugged Outback wagon and won acclaim for its turbocharged GT models and rally-derived engineering. The nameplate ran for seven generations, with production ending in the mid-2020s in its final markets.
