AB · 1983–19844WD

The Leone Turbo Wagon 4WD was the turbocharged wagon of the US Leone range, offered in 1983 and 1984. Its 1.8-litre EA81T turbo boxer makes about 95 hp, with four-wheel drive and a manual gearbox as standard and a three-speed automatic as an option. The turbo gave the wagon extra pull on top of its four-wheel drive.

STORY

The Subaru Leone was a compact car produced from 1971 to 1994, serving as Subaru's mainstream global model and one of the first mass produced four-wheel-drive passenger cars. Sold in sedan, coupe, wagon, and hatchback forms, it spread Subaru's flat-four AWD reputation worldwide, especially in snowy and rural markets. The Impreza replaced it in 1994, with the Legacy covering the larger end of the range.
