A US-market sedan from the first phase of the BH Outback, built on the Legacy sedan body with Limited equipment and, unlike the wagon, no folding rear seat. Its 2.5-litre EJ251 four-cylinder makes 165 hp and drives all four wheels through an automatic gearbox. It was sold from 1999 to 2001.

STORY

The Outback launched in 1994 as a raised version of the Legacy wagon with off-road trim, credited with helping popularize the crossover concept in North America. It grew into a standalone nameplate with permanent symmetrical all-wheel drive and boxer engines, remaining one of Subaru's best-selling models.
