The flat-six Outback wagon of the facelifted BH generation, built for international markets from 2001 to 2004. Its 3.0-litre six-cylinder is rated at about 215 PS, with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. Beside the 167 PS four-cylinder wagon it was the powerful choice, and it carries the revised front end introduced in May 2001.

STORY

The Outback launched in 1994 as a raised version of the Legacy wagon with off-road trim, credited with helping popularize the crossover concept in North America. It grew into a standalone nameplate with permanent symmetrical all-wheel drive and boxer engines, remaining one of Subaru's best-selling models.
