The six-cylinder version of the US-market Outback sedan in the facelifted BH generation. Its EZ30 3.0-litre flat-six makes 212 hp, against 165 hp for the four-cylinder sedan, and drives all four wheels through an automatic gearbox. It was offered in H6-3.0, L.L.Bean and VDC forms, from 2001 to 2004.

STORY

The Outback launched in 1994 as a raised version of the Legacy wagon with off-road trim, credited with helping popularize the crossover concept in North America. It grew into a standalone nameplate with permanent symmetrical all-wheel drive and boxer engines, remaining one of Subaru's best-selling models.
