The R1 R AWD adds all-wheel drive to the DOHC naturally aspirated R grade of the Subaru R1, a Japan-market kei coupe built from 2005 to 2010. Its 0.658-litre four-cylinder (EN07D) produces 54 PS and works with a CVT. The output matches the front-drive R, so the driven rear axle is what sets this version apart.
