Sambar Van 0.66 NA 4WD

TT/TV/TW.2 · 2002–20054WD

The Sambar Van 0.66 NA 4WD was the all-wheel-drive van of the sixth generation's second phase in Japan, built from 2002 to 2005. The 0.66-litre EN07F four-cylinder, naturally aspirated, produces 48 PS and is paired with a manual gearbox. Unlike the rear-drive Dias Van rows of the same years, it sends power to all four wheels through a selective 4WD system.

STORY

The Sambar is Subaru's kei truck and microvan, introduced in 1961 with a rear-engine, rear- or all-wheel-drive layout unusual for its class. Prized for traction and packaging, it was built in-house for decades before becoming a rebadged Daihatsu Hijet in 2012.
