Its 0.66-litre EN07Y four-cylinder is supercharged and makes 58 PS, ten more than the naturally aspirated engine, and it sends power to all four wheels through an automatic gearbox with full-time 4WD. STORY

The Sambar is Subaru's kei truck and microvan, introduced in 1961 with a rear-engine, rear- or all-wheel-drive layout unusual for its class. Prized for traction and packaging, it was built in-house for decades before becoming a rebadged Daihatsu Hijet in 2012.
