Sambar Truck 0.66 NA 4WD

TT/TV/TW.4 · 2009–20124WD

The Sambar Truck 4WD of 2009 to 2012 is the Japanese selective four-wheel-drive pickup from the last phase of the sixth generation. A naturally aspirated 0.66-litre EN07F four-cylinder produces 48 PS and is paired with a manual gearbox. Its look comes from the September 2009 update, which left the front without a grille and added a new bumper.

STORY

The Sambar is Subaru's kei truck and microvan, introduced in 1961 with a rear-engine, rear- or all-wheel-drive layout unusual for its class. Prized for traction and packaging, it was built in-house for decades before becoming a rebadged Daihatsu Hijet in 2012.
