In Japan the SVX was sold as the Alcyone SVX, a coupe with the 3.3-litre EG33 flat-six rated at 240 PS and 31.5 kgm. Power goes through a four-speed automatic to full-time all-wheel drive. It is the CXW grand tourer in its home-market form, on sale from 1991, with the end of Japanese sales put at about 1996. US cars made 230 hp instead.
