The Vivio RX-R Supercharged 4WD is the export-market RX-R Supercharged of the Type C years, a four-wheel-drive Vivio hatchback with a manual gearbox, built from 1994 to 1996. Its supercharged 0.66-litre four-cylinder makes about 64 horsepower, in line with the Japanese kei class limit of 64 PS. It stayed the sporty Vivio, now with the revised styling of the Type C.

STORY

The Vivio was a kei car sold from 1992 to 1998, replacing the Rex with a rounded body and available supercharged engine plus optional four-wheel drive. Rally prepared Vivios famously entered the 1993 Safari Rally, and a limited targa-top version was offered in 1993 for Subaru's 40th anniversary.
