The Vivio RX-R Supercharged 4WD is the export-market RX-R Supercharged of the Type E years, a four-wheel-drive Vivio hatchback with a manual gearbox, built from 1996 to 1998. Its supercharged 0.66-litre four-cylinder makes about 64 horsepower, the kei class ceiling in Japan. It is the top sporty Vivio at the end of the model's run.

STORY

The Vivio was a kei car sold from 1992 to 1998, replacing the Rex with a rounded body and available supercharged engine plus optional four-wheel drive. Rally prepared Vivios famously entered the 1993 Safari Rally, and a limited targa-top version was offered in 1993 for Subaru's 40th anniversary.
