It used a 2.0-litre EJ20 turbo boxer with STI sport parts and Group N rally parts, a six-speed manual, all-wheel drive with a DCCD centre differential, and a carbon bonnet. STORY

STI's own endurance racer, built to prove the WRX over 24 hours of the Nordschleife rather than over a rally stage. The programme started in 2008 and has taken eight class wins, six in SP3T for sub-two-litre turbo cars, then two more in SP4T. Unusually for a factory entry, it has kept the road car's silhouette, boxer engine layout and symmetrical all-wheel drive throughout.
