The Impreza WRX STI S202 is a limited STI complete car sold in 2002 in a run of 400 cars for Japan. STI built it on the lighter WRX STI type RA spec C and tuned the 2.0-litre EJ20 turbo boxer to 320 PS and 384 Nm with a sport ECU and a titanium single-chamber exhaust. A six-speed manual and all-wheel drive carry the power, and the kerb weight is 1,330 kg. It follows the 300 PS S201 and belongs to the bugeye phase.

STORY

The WRX began as the performance turbocharged version of the Impreza in 1992, powered by a turbo boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive that made it well known in rallying and among enthusiasts. Subaru later spun the WRX off as its own model line, with the STI variant serving as the high-performance flagship.
