Impreza WRX STI (Europe)

The Impreza WRX STI (Europe) is the European version of the 'blobeye' STI, a GDB sedan sold from 2002 to 2005. Its 2.0-litre EJ207 turbocharged boxer made 265 PS, below the 280 PS of the Japanese car, and drove all four wheels through a manual gearbox. It was the performance flagship of the European Impreza range.

STORY

The WRX began as the performance turbocharged version of the Impreza in 1992, powered by a turbo boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive that made it well known in rallying and among enthusiasts. Subaru later spun the WRX off as its own model line, with the STI variant serving as the high-performance flagship.
