The Impreza WRX 2.5 is the European sedan of the 'hawkeye' generation, with creased headlamps and the Spread Wings grille, sold from 2005 to 2007. A 2.5-litre EJ255 turbocharged boxer made 230 PS, with a manual gearbox and all-wheel drive. The larger displacement set it apart from the 2.0-litre WRX that Europe had until then.

STORY

The WRX began as the performance turbocharged version of the Impreza in 1992, powered by a turbo boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive that made it well known in rallying and among enthusiasts. Subaru later spun the WRX off as its own model line, with the STI variant serving as the high-performance flagship.
