The Impreza WRX STI (Europe) of the 'hawkeye' generation is the GDB sedan sold in Europe from 2005 to 2007. It moved to a 2.5-litre EJ257 turbocharged boxer making 280 PS, up from the 2.0-litre engine and 265 PS of the earlier European STI, with a manual gearbox and all-wheel drive.

STORY

The WRX began as the performance turbocharged version of the Impreza in 1992, powered by a turbo boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive that made it well known in rallying and among enthusiasts. Subaru later spun the WRX off as its own model line, with the STI variant serving as the high-performance flagship.
