The WRX 2.5 (US) hatchback of the 2011 to 2014 model years is the five-door WRX after the July 2010 facelift. Its 2.5-litre EJ255 turbocharged boxer is rated at 265 hp, up from 224 hp on the 2008 to 2010 car, with a manual gearbox and all-wheel drive. It has the wide-arch body that the facelift gave the WRX.

STORY

The WRX began as the performance turbocharged version of the Impreza in 1992, powered by a turbo boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel drive that made it well known in rallying and among enthusiasts. Subaru later spun the WRX off as its own model line, with the STI variant serving as the high-performance flagship.
